Adult Sunday School Classes
A core value at First Christian Church is for every Christian to be a growing Christian, equipped for service to Christ. This involves believing, belonging, and becoming. And that is where adult Bible classes and small groups enter the picture. Look at your options-and determine to be all you can be!
9:45 Adult Sunday School Classes
Anchor (all ages)
(led by Eleanor Daniel in G20B) “Great fellowship.” “Good Bible teaching.” “Opportunities to serve.” That describes Anchor, a class of folks mostly in their 40s and 50s-and a few a bit older, study various books of the Bible or doctrinal themes.
Bridgebuilders (40's to 50's)
(led by Don Jeanes in 103A) This class of folks mostly in their 40s is based on solid biblical studies.
Friendship (special needs)
(led by Bob Coffman in G28) This class is designed for adult learners with special learning needs. Led by a caring teacher, it provides a place for meaningful fellowship for these folks with special needs.
(meets in youth Pulse room) “Enjoyable people.” “Good fellowship.” “Excellent discussions.” You will hear those remarks from many in this class of folks mostly in their 30s.
Heirlines (30's to 40's)
(led by Worth Peak in 103B) Biblical teaching and fellowship have helped to develop a strong sense of community within this group of working adults.
Mr. & Mrs. (60's plus)
(led by Dr. Henry Webb, assisted by William Gwaltney in 104AB) “Family.” “Great Bible teaching.” “People who care.” Those descriptions are often given for this class of committed senior adults who study from the Uniform Lesson Series each week.
Win-A-Kuple (50's to 60's)
(meets in 103B) “Family.” “Excellent Bible teaching.” “Caring fellowship.” Those are descriptions of the Win-A-Kuple class, a class of folks in the 60s and beyond. They study a variety of topics with a a variety of teachers.
11:00 Adult Sunday School Classes
(led by Phyllis Fox in the G20A) This class is known for its open atmosphere and focus on Biblical answers to the issues facing college-aged adults. This class values a comfortable atmosphere for their discussion style class with regular mid-week small group Bible studies rounding out the program.
Alive@11 (all adults welcome)
(led by Steve Smith in 104AB) A lively fellowship of a variety of ages, this class is characterized by challenging biblical studies in an environment of care.
PrimeTime (20's to 30's)
(led by Rotating Teachers in G20C) This group of young adults, mostly in the 20s and early 30s, enjoy each other both in and outside of class. They study relevant Bible materials as well as enjoy good social times together.
S.A.L.T. (30's to 40's)
(led by Gene Wigginton in 103A) A group of folks in their 40s, this class enjoys solid Bible teaching and good fellowship together.
Seekers (all adults welcome)
(led by Heath and Tonja Schnelle in 103B) A new class launches February 5, designed for couples in their late 20s and 30s. Heath and Tonja Schnelle, the leaders intend the class to be characterized by solid biblical teaching, an environment of caring and a commitment to prayer.
Spanish (Spanish speaking adults)
(led by Danilo Olivares in 101B) This class is a gathering point for our Spanish-speaking members and is led by Oscar Olivares and others of the Spanish ministry team.
